Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are worth their printed value meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they only portray the two hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for any hand is the total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For example, a hand of seven as well as 5 has a total of 2 (7plusfive=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card may be played depending on the following standards:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or 9, each gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have funds still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie generally pay 8 to one but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is not a good bet as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Run away from laying money on a tie. Regardless odds are remarkably better – nine to 1 vs. eight to one)

When played correctly, baccarat offers generally decent odds, away from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Tactics

As with all games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future happenings. Monitoring of historic outcomes on a chart is for sure a total waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and possibly most successful technique is the 1-3-2-six technique. This method is deployed to amplify winnings and minimizing risk.

Begin by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, remove 4 so you have 2 on the third bet. If you win the 3rd gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the second will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Winning all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Therefore that you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
