Baccarat Procedures
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards which are of a value less than ten are said to be worth their printed number while at the same time 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they only symbolize the two hands to be given out).
Two hands of two cards will now be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for any hand is the grand total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For example, a hand of seven as well as five will have a value of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card can be given depending on the foll. guidelines:
- If the gambler or banker has a value of eight or 9, then both gamblers stand.
- If the player has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.
- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or less. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to judge if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The bigger of the 2 scores wins. Winning stakes on the banker pay out nineteen to twenty (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so make sure you have money remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie generally pay out eight to one but occasionally nine to one. (This is not a good gamble as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Run away from putting money on a tie. Even so odds are significantly better – nine to 1 versus eight to one)
When played accurately, baccarat offers relatively good odds, apart from the tie wager of course.
Baccarat Strategy
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette misconception. The past is not an actual indicator of future results. Tracking of last results on a chart is simply a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most established and almost certainly most successful tactic is the one-3-two-six scheme. This method is employed to boost payout and minimizing risk.
start by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away four so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of 6 on the 4th gamble.
If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of two. Wins on the 1st 2 with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. A win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus that you can get beaten the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
