Punto Banco Rules and Strategy

Baccarat Banque Codes

Baccarat is enjoyed with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards under ten are counted at face value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t actual people; they just represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The score for each hand is the total of the cards, however the first number is dumped. For instance, a hand of five and 6 has a value of one (five plus six = eleven; ditch the initial ‘one’).

A 3rd card will be given depending on the rules below:

- If the player or house gets a total of 8 or nine, both players stay.

- If the gambler has less than 5, he takes a card. Players stays otherwise.

- If the gambler stands, the bank takes a card on five or lower. If the player hits, a chart is employed to figure out if the banker holds or takes a card.

The greater of the two scores wins. Winning wagers on the bank payout nineteen to Twenty (even payout minus a five percent commission. The Rake is recorded and paid off when you quit the table so make sure you still have funds left just before you head out). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winning bets for a tie frequently pay eight to one but on occasion 9:1. (This is a bad wager as ties happen lower than 1 in every 10 hands. Be cautious of putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially better for 9 to 1 vs. 8:1)

Played correctly baccarat chemin de fer offers pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Banque Course of Action

As with all games punto banco has some common misconceptions. One of which is similar to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past isn’t an indicator of future actions. Tracking previous results at a table is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our stationary desires.

The most established and almost certainly the most successful course of action is the one-three-two-six plan. This method is used to build up profits and minimizing risk.

Start by placing one unit. If you win, add another to the 2 on the table for a sum of 3 chips on the second bet. If you win you will retain 6 on the game table, take away four so you are left with 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd bet, deposit 2 to the four on the table for a total of six on the 4th round.

If you do not win on the initial bet, you take a loss of one. A profit on the 1st bet followed by a hit on the second causes a hit of 2. Success on the first two with a defeat on the 3rd gives you with a profit of 2. And success on the 1st three with a loss on the fourth means you experience no loss. Winning at all 4 rounds leaves you with twelve, a take of ten. This means you can give up the 2nd bet 5 instances for every successful run of 4 bets and still are even.
