Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than ten are counted at their printed number meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they simply symbolize the two hands to be given out).

2 hands of two cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for any hand shall be the sum of the two cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven and five results in a value of two (sevenplus5=12; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be played depending on the foll. guidelines:

- If the gambler or banker has a value of 8 or 9, then both gamblers stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart shall be used in order to judge if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even money less a five % commission. Commission is monitored and moved out when you leave the table so ensure that you have $$$$$ left before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie generally pays eight to one but sometimes nine to one. (This is a crazy bet as ties happen less than 1 every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try wagering on a tie. Nonetheless odds are actually better – 9 to 1 versus eight to 1)

Played smartly, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, away from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some established misconceptions. 1 of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is never actually an indicator of future happenings. Keeping track of previous results on a chart is a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most common and almost certainly most successful tactic is the 1-three-two-6 method. This technique is used to pump up wins and lowering risk.

start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract four so you have two on the third bet. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of six on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of one. A win on the first bet quickly followed by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. In other words you can fail to win the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
