Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are worth their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they merely depict the two hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards will now be played to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for every hand will be the grand total of the two cards, but the first digit is dumped. For example, a hand of 7 … five produces a total score of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card may be given depending on the foll. standards:

- If the bettor or banker has a total of eight or nine, the two players stand.

- If the bettor has five or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart might be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker payout nineteen to 20 (even odds minus a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winner bets for tie typically pays out at eight to one but occasionally nine to 1. (This is a crazy bet as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. Stay away from wagering on a tie. Even so odds are positively better – 9 to one vs. eight to 1)

When played correctly, baccarat provides pretty decent odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some established myths. 1 of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future actions. Monitoring of prior outcomes on a chart is definitely a complete waste of paper as well as a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most established and probably most successful method is the 1-3-2-6 scheme. This schema is used to amplify payouts and cutting back risk.

Begin by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, remove four so you have two on the third gamble. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a grand total of six on the fourth wager.

If you don’t win on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the 4th mean you break even. Coming away with a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
