Baccarat Rules

Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards that are valued less than ten are give a value of their printed number meanwhile 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they strictly represent the two hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards will then be given out to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The score for each hand shall be the total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of 7 as well as 5 will have a score of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card can be given depending on the following practices:

- If the gambler or banker has a total score of eight or nine, both players stand.

- If the bettor has five or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lesser. If the bettor hits, a chart is used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Winning bets on the banker pay 19 to twenty (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is tracked and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have funds remaining before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie normally pays eight to one but occasionally nine to one. (This is an awful gamble as ties will happen less than 1 every ten hands. be cautious of placing bets on a tie. Even so odds are somewhat better – 9 to one vs. eight to 1)

When played effectively, baccarat presents pretty good odds, apart from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. One of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Staying abreast of last results on a chart is simply a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and probably most successful method is the 1-three-two-six technique. This tactic is used to amplify payout and minimizing risk.

start by betting 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the third gamble, add two to the four on the table for a sum of six on the 4th bet.

If you don’t win on the initial wager, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. Thus you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
