Rules of Baccarat

Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than ten are said to be at face value while at the same time ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each given a value of 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they just appear as the 2 hands to be dealt).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand is the total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is discarded. For e.g., a hand of seven … 5 produces a value of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card could be dealt depending on the foll. standards:

- If the player or banker has a tally of 8 or 9, each gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or less. If the player hits, a chart is used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores is the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay nineteen to 20 (even money less a 5 percent commission. Commission is monitored and cleared out when you leave the table so make sure you have $$$$$ left over before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie as a rule pay 8 to one but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a bad gamble as ties will occur lower than one every ten hands. Stay away from betting on a tie. Nonetheless odds are certainly better – 9 to one versus 8 to one)

When played properly, baccarat presents relatively decent odds, aside from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. 1 of which is very similar to a roulette myth. The past is in no way a predictor of future results. Keeping track of previous outcomes on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper and a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and possibly most successful technique is the one-three-2-six technique. This plan is deployed to maximize earnings and controlling risk.

start by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add 2 to the 4 on the table for a total of six on the fourth gamble.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed up by loss on the 2nd causes a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Thus that you can fail to win the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
